What's New for 2026?
There are a few updates to report for the 2026 Maverick. The EcoBoost® engine can now be paired with front-wheel drive on the base trim. The Tremor and Lobo trims now feature the traditional Ford logo, instead of blacked-out logos. Marsh Gray and Orange Fury Metallic join the paint color lineup, replacing Eruption Green and Desert Sand.

Ford Maverick Performance
The Maverick comes standard with a 2.5-liter hybrid I4 engine that produces 191 horsepower, while a 2.0-liter EcoBoost® turbo I4 that generates 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque is available. The hybrid engine gets best-in-class fuel efficiency, with an EPA-estimated 42 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, and 39 mpg combined. The EcoBoost® I4 gets up to 23 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined.
The hybrid engine pairs with a CVT, while the EcoBoost® gets an eight-speed automatic on most trims and a seven-speed automatic on the Lobo trim. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available.

A 13.2-inch center touchscreen comes standard on every Maverick. The system includes wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. The system includes enhanced voice recognition for hands-free control of navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings.
